We are recruiting an Engineering Manager for a customer. The customer is an established software-as-a-service company within the travel industry, and are now hiring a manager to drive quality and continuous improvement, while also manage recruiting, onboarding, and coaching.

Responsibilities

Manage, advice and coach developers and system administrators
Ensure high quality and standard in regards to code base, development process and production environments
Plan and manage technical change projects
Hold weekly one-on-ones with all direct reports

We are looking for

Experience in applying agile ideas and methods to software development projects
Experience in architecting real-world non-trivial web applications and business systems
Experience in explaining and/or teaching technical skills to technical and non-technical coworkers and stakeholders
University education in computer science, engineering or system sciences or equivalent experience

Meriting Experience

Experience from managing and mentoring a team of developers and system administrators
Passion to learn new things and develop people
Hands-on experience with Typescript
Hands-on experience from the Java ecosystem (like JEE, Spring Boot, and ORM-tools)
Experience in recruiting
